Annie,
The Jefferson Co. Page is one of the Very Best on the US Genweb- You do  a Wonderful Job and I truly appreciate all of your Hard Work- My GGGGrandparents James and Margaret (Hawthorn/e) Cook Family was in
Jefferson Co., in the early 1800's, he died there in about 1812-GGGGrandmother Margaret ((Hawthorn/e) Cook died after 1820- they are both buried there in an unknown place- graves are not marked as well as many of
their children and grandchildren-and learning about the History of the County is very interesting and precious to me. Hope you have a Wonderful 2009 and thank you again.
Sincerely,
Elnora Frances Cook-Wyrick

Dear Peggy,

Thank you for a great website. I am trying to find where my great great great grandparents are buried. The changes in county lines is what bothers me most, for John and Rebecca Foote King moved to Tippah Co., MS sometime after 1844 from Warren Co., NC. I think they lived in what was know as Enterprise, MS which at one time was Union Co., MS but I believe it must have been right on the line. I found them on the 1870 Census of Pototoc County. I don't know where they are buried or exactly when they died but they were in their 70s in the 1870 Census.
