VICKSBURG GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
Vicksburg Genealogical Society's area of interest is both sides of the Mississippi River from the northern boundary of LA's Florida Parishes (LA-MS line) to the LA-AR line and beyond. Established in 1982 there are about 120 members.
Mississippi River Routes is published quarterly. Tony Dardeau is the Editor. They are always looking for original, documented material for the quarterly for the MS counties and LA parishes in their area of interest including family genealogy, local history, interesting public or church records, Bible records, cemetery inventories, queries, diaries, ledgers, journals, etc. Tony Dardeau's email address is DARDEAUEA@aol.com.
The annual dues for membership in the Vicksburg Genealogical Society is $20/indiviaual or $23/couple. Membership includes a subscription to their quarterly.
