DATES - DESCRIPTION

8/17/69 - Officially organized as Craft Road Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi with 8 members. The church began as a mission church of Woodlawn Terrace Baptist Church of Memphis, Tennessee.

8/17/69 - 2/4/70 - John Stevens served as the 1st pastor of the church.

8/17/69 - 4/74 - Church services were held in a 1400 square foot house converted into a church building at 7197 Craft Road in Olive Branch. This building is currently used for staff office space and classrooms.

12/20/70 - 12/21/80 - Lawrence Baker served as the 2nd pastor of the church.

4/74 - Began holding worship services in a new 2600 square foot auditorium with seating capacity of about 100 at 7197 Craft Road in Olive Branch. This building is currently being used as a Prayer Chapel, Youth Building, and for Baptisms.

8/19/81 - 4/17/85 - David Goetz served as the 3rd pastor of the church.

11/23/85 - present - Robert R. Haynes currently serves as the 4th pastor of the church.

4/94 - Completed a 5000 square foot multipurpose building.

7/97 - Began holding worship celebration services in the gym to accommodate the growth of the church. The current seating capicity if about 200. Plans are currently being made to add another 4000 square addition to the existing buildings.

2/99 - Changed the name of the church from Craft Road Baptist Church to New Life Community - A Great Commission Church.
