Note: There are no Acrees listed in the 1840 DeSoto Census, though there are two (John D. Acre and B. F. Acree) listed in the 1840 Marshall County Census. By 1850 there were two Acrees in DeSoto: John M. Acree, 30, TN (p. 381) and Elizabeth Acre, 18, TN, blind (p. 375).
