| Mr. L. Davis Dear Sir Since I received your last letter have sent Mrs. Anderson a check for her share of the money collected from Wentworth, less her taxes, also $10 for you. Your half of the taxes in this County for 1872 was $22.77 which I paid in due time. I have not been able to sell any land or collect any money for you the past year. I dont like to sugest to you but if I were in you place I would sell all the land that any offer is made for at any price & then let the balance (?) to the State for taxes, for at the present rate of taxes $45.54 each year for wild lands, it will soon become very expensive & no income. There have been one or two aplications to buy the Aiken Mill tract, but neither of them would justify a sale.
