Notes

1.      This is a new work but it has been checked with a listing currently on the Copiah County Web Page. Input from that page is given in square brackets [----] in the remarks section and credit is due the author of that work.

2.      Genealogy information taken from the tombstone is quoted in the Remarks section , .e.g., "mother"

3.      There are many unmarked graves here, some have a crumbling stone others a rock and still others have nothing.

4.      There is a mass grave in the back corner of the cemetery. No information available on this grave, not when and not why.

5.      Story has it that a great storm destroyed many tombstones in the cemetery sometime before 1900.  In 1883 a tornado roared  through the area but I don't know if there is a connection.

6.      I believe, but cannot prove, that this is the final resting place for Drury Bell, Susannah Spinks Crawford Bell, Ann Cammack,         Isaac N. Bell and others of the Bell, Crawford, Errington families.

7.      This catalog is primarily the work of Bettye Bridges Errington of Attala County, MS .
