Higdon Cemetery

This is a FREE site provided by the MSGen Web Project.

The oldest Higdon Family Cemetery is in the woods near the site of the original residence, where hugh old cedars and oaks still stand.  Local residents (Mr. Maples and daughter Emma) state that there were formerly a number of prominent stones in this cemetery but none could be located.  Near this place is a Higdon cemetery in which there are several graves but only one with a stone marker:

John T. Higdon  8 Aug, 1824/28 Dec, 1890

(Thought to be the son of the older Higdon buried in the cemetery Sardis Bapt.)
