Thanks to the generosity of another researcher, I have learned of an abandoned cemetery that does not seem to be listed for Copiah Co., MS.

This cemetery is located on the South Side of Highway 28 about 2 miles West of Georgetown in Copiah County and is thought to have been a part of the Church of Copiah and possibly used when the cemetery for the Church became inaccessible, perhaps because of a flood.   Most of the markers have disappeared, either into the ground, or they may have crumbled.  The remain markers are:

Rev. M. T. Conn                       1814-1879

Ada Conn                              1813-1869

(Wife of M. T. Conn)

Children of E. I. & S. A. Davis       1892-1899

The cemetery is not mentioned in the history of the Church of Copiah.

All information provided by Mr. Fred Little of Hopewell.
