Frederick Shaffer was the son of John
Frederick & Magdalina "Eichelberger" Shaffer. He
married Mary Ann Duke Jan. 24, 1828 in Perry Co., Alabama. They
had one known daughter; Martha Caroline Shaffer, born Dec. 27,
1828, died July 20, 1922. Martha Caroline married Robert Watson
Barton Oct. 24, 1844 in Perry Co., Alabama. They were the parents
of 12 children, who lived in Clay, Webster, and Chickasaw Co.,
Miss.
