Articles of
Incorporation
Be it Known, that the undersigned do
hereby voluntarily associate ourselves together for the purpose of forming a
banking corporation under the laws of the State of Mississippi, and do hereby
certify:
First: That the name of this corporation shall be
“Merigold Bank.”
Second: That the place where its business is to be
transacted is at Merigold, Bolivar County, in the State of Mississippi.
Third: That the purpose for which this corporation
is formed is to transact general, commercial and savings banking business in
accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of Mississippi
governing banks and banking
Fourth: That the amount of the capital stock of this
corporation shall be $15,000.00 and surplus $15,000.00. The par value of the stock shall be $100.00
per share.
Fifth: That the names and places of residence of
incorporators, and the number of shares subscribed by each are as follows:

whom these presents shall come, greeting:
I, the undersigned Superintendent of
Banks of the State of Mississippi, do hereby certify that the public
convenience and necessity require the organization of the Merigold Bank,
Merigold, Mississippi.
The Said bank has complied with all
the provisions of the law and is hereby duly authorized to transact a banking
business.
Given under my hand and the seal of
the State Banking Department, this the 1st day of August, 1927. J. S. Love, Superintendent of Banks.
Received at the office of the
Secretary of State, this the 3rd day of August, A D. 1927, together
with the sum of $40.00 recording fee, and referred to the Attorney General for
his opinion. Walker Wood, Secretary of
State.

incorporation on Merigold Bank and am of the opinion that it is not violative
