This indenture made and entered
into, this the 18th day of April, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred
and thirty-six, between Thomas Rigby of the County of Warren and State of
Mississippi, of the first part, and Bennet M. Hines, of the County of
Washington, same state, of the second part, witnesseth:
That the said Thomas Rigby, for
and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by
the said Hines, and of the award of the arbitrators between them at and before
the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, has this day granted, bargained and sold unto the said Bennet M.
Hines, and to his heirs and assigns, forever, all that tract or parcel of land
situated, lying and being in the County of Washington, State of Mississippi,
known and designated as follows, to
wit:
Lot number 3, in section 12, and lot 3 in section 11,
township 21, range 8, west, together with all that tract or parcel of land sold
by said Hines to R. R. Estill, lying on Lake Bolivar, in Washington County. Together with
all and singular the premises and appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have and to hold to
the said Bennet M. Hines and his heirs and assigns, all the foregoing described
land and premises, in fee simple, forever.
And the said Thomas Rigby, for himself and
his heirs, executors, and administrators, by these presents covenants, promises
and agrees to and with the said B. M. Hines, and his heirs, executors, and
administrators, that he will, and his heirs, executors, and administrators,
shall forever warrant and defend the title to said granted land and premises
against the claim or claims of kin and their heirs and assigns, all and every
person and persons whomsoever claiming by, through or under him, but against no
others.
In testimony whereof,
the said Thomas Rigby has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date first
above written.

This indenture made and entered
into, this the 18th day of May, 1836, between John Garnett and Reuben Garnett,
of the County of Yazoo, State of Mississippi, of the first part, and Abraham B.
Reading, of the County of Warren and state aforesaid, of the second part,
witnesseth:
That the said parties of the
first part, for and in consideration of the sum of $20,000 to them in hand paid by said
party of
the second part, the' receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day
bargained, sold, released and conveyed, and by these presents do grant,
bargain, and sell, release and convey unto party of the second part, his heirs
and assigns, forever, all those certain tracts or parcels of land lying and
situated in that part of Washington County, State of Mississippi, which has
lately been stricken off from said county by the legislature of Mississippi,
and called the County of Bolivar, particularly described on map of plat of
lands, subject to sale at the land office for the Chocchuma district as section
27, and lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, in fractional section 25, and fractional
section 26, all in township 21, range 7, west, containing 2,074 acres and
34/100 of an acre.
