Comments:	By: Mary Colucci The American Legion Post was very special to our family because it was named for my father's youngest brother who served in the Navy, returned home with TB and died very young. He left a widow and two young children and I am not sure, but believe that his son, also named Everard, arrived after his father's death. If that is not the case, Everard was too young to ever know his father. Everard's passing was always a source of great sadness to the entire family. The fact that the Post was named after him meant so much to his family. All of the brothers, except for my father, served in some branch of the military, and my father was needed on the family farm.
