Walter Ardist McLemore Obituary

McLEMORE SERVICES ARE SET (Mar. 7, 1969)
Walter Ardist McLemore of Sawyer Road (Route 4, Corinth) died at 5 a.m. today in Magnolia Hospital after a week’s illness. He was 53.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in McPeters Chapel with the Rev. Willie B.. Roaten and Rev. Fred Huckelbury officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
McLemore, an employee of Corinth Machinery Company, was born in Alcorn County and was a member of Kemp’s Chapel Baptist Church. He married the former Eugenia Smith October 16, 1936 in Alcorn County.
He is survived by his widow; a son. Lloyd McLemore of Racine, Wisconsin; two daughters, Mrs. Van McCardle of Hazelhurst and Mrs. James E. Miller of Corinth; a brother, Estes McLemore of Ripley, Tennessee; three sisters, Mrs. Radie Stutts of Texas, Mrs. Emmie Lee Payton of Chicago, and Mrs. Gladys Castile of Somerville, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be William Castile, David Castile, Ralph McLemore, Paul McLemore, Odie Nash and M.W. Baggett.
McPeters Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
