MISS VERDA GABLE SERVICES ON FRIDAY
Miss Verda Gable, 182 Peace Street, Canton, Mississippi, died at her home Friday at 5 p.m. A native of Tishomingo County, Mississippi, She was a former area resident employed at Weaver Pants Corp. of Corinth for 45 years. A member of Trinity Methodist Church, she was 84.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Hicks officiating. Burial was in Henry Cemetery.
Survivors include a brother, W.L. Gable of Corinth and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Barker and Mrs. Ethel Hamilton, both of Memphis.
Pallbearers were Floyd Sparks, Earl Wood, Bill Switzer, Fred Williams, John Sanders, Jr. and Gerald Harrison.
McPeters Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
