ceremony on Tuesday evening at the parsonage of the First Presbyterian
Church united Mrs. Alice Leroy Thompson and George R. Weatherford, deputy
court clerk. The marriage was unannounced and was a surprise to the friends
of both bride and groom. Mrs. Weatherford is a woman of great charm, and has
a number of friends in Memphis and at Corinth, where her father was formerly
a prominent merchant. Mr. Weatherford is well liked and esteemed, both in
his official capacity and socially.
