Obituary - Mrs. J. W. Slaughter

FORMER CORINTHIAN'S RITES ARE SET, WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. J.W. Slaughter, 86, of Richmond, Virginia, will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at McPeters Chapel.  Interment will be in Henry Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Keeling with McPeters Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers include Brook Derryberry, T. Derryberry, Jack Hewelette, Charles Carpenter and Martin Shelton, all of the Corinth area, and Lillard McClellan, of Tupelo.
Mrs. Slaughter, a former Corinthian, died at 7:45 a.m. yesterday at Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond, Virginia, after an illness of some five weeks.
She was the widow of J.W. Slaughter and a member of the Baptist Church.
She leaves a son, J.W. Slaughter, Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. George Ambrester, Richmond; a brother, Mansel Derryberry, Corinth, and three grandchildren.
