DENHAM SPRINGS, LOUISIANA-Funeral services
for Lillie Ilene Little Matthews, 72, were
held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of
Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia, Alabama
with Dr. Robert Gamble officiating. Burial
was in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Matthews died Wednesday, June 17, 1992,
at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville,
Tennessee. She was a native of Glen and was
employed with the Louisiana State University
Student Union. She was a member of the
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Judson C.
Matthews of Denham Springs; two daughters,
Patricia Sbarbaro of San Diego and Mary
Whitthauer of Nashville; two brothers, Arch
Little of Glen and Herman Little of Lynn,
Alabama; 4 sisters, Willie Mae Shuman of
Corinth, Esther Smart of Jacksonville,
Texas, Ava Wilkens of Corinth and Tiny
Leggett of Glen; 3 grandchildren (rest of
