McCORD SERVICES WILL BE WEDNESDAY
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE-Services for Mr. John Worth McCord of Memphis will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McPeters Funeral Chapel.
Mr. McCord died at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Veteran Administration Hospital here.
Minister Gene Thornton of New Albany will officiate at the service.  Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
The 83 year old former Corinthian was a veteran of World War I and World War II.  He was a retired civil service worker with the VA Hospital in Memphis.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Edsel McCord and Forrest C. McCord of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Yoakum of Lelburn, Georgia and Mrs. Freida Summers of McMinnville, Tennessee; two brothers, Clyde McCord of Corinth and Collie McCord of Rienzi; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Blackwell of Rienzi, Mrs. Vida English of Booneville and Mrs. Elsie Sloan of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. today until service time.
McPeters Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
