Map of Hinkle Community

Map of Hinkle Community (early families, but mostly the 1920's and 30's). Hinkle Community is located in the southern portion of Alcorn County. Jacob Hinkle purchased land in the area in 1836. He was said to have been an outstanding citizen and an active Presbyterian and the community was named after him. He and his wife are buried in New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The creek which runs through the area is also named Hinkle.
