GARVIN LATCH, 75
Funeral services for Garvin Latch, 75, were held yesterday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Vanderford officiating. Burial was held in Shady Grove Cemetery.
He died on Friday, March 28, 1997, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a retired equipment operator and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was the father of Corinth Mayor Jerry Latch.
Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Jackson of Pearl, Patsy Johnson and Stacy Luker, both of Corinth and Marilyn Simpson of Decatur, Ala.; one step-daughter, Brenda Hancock of Waxachie, Texas; four sons, Orlander Latch, Jerry Latch, Roger Latch and Shane Latch, all of Corinth; one stepson, Jimmy Dunn of Jackson; four brothers, Ward Latch, Terry Latch, Weldon Latch and Eldon Latch, all of Corinth; two sisters, Dorothy Box and Opal Morrow, both of Corinth; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
