State of Mississippi County of Alcorn

This day personally appeared in open Stephen McEntyre a native of Ireland, and makes application to be admitted to the rights and privileges of a citizen of the United States of America and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the said Stephen McEntyre has been a bonefide resident of the State of Mississippi for at least one year and a resident of the United States at least five years next preceeding this application and it further appearing the said applicant has resided in the United States more than three years before arriving at the age of 21 years; and said applicant declaring in open court that it has been his intention to become a citizen of the United States for more than two years previous to this day and renouncing forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreighn Prince Potentate, State or Soverighty whatsoever, and more particularly to Queen Victoria the Queen of England or Kingdom of Great Brittian his native country, and it appearing upon the testimony of M. Kendrick and C. Kendrick that the said Stephen McEntyre is a man of good moral character attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United State and well disposed to good order and happiness of the same wherefore the said Stephen McEntyre in open court takes the oath of Alligiance and the oath to support the Constitution of the United States of America; wherefore he is admitted to all the rights and privileges of a citizen of the United States of America.

State of Mississippi Alcorn County

Minutes of 2nd day of January 1892

This day came we to be heard and was heard in open court the same being a circuit court in and for the county of Alcorn in the state of Mississippi the Hon. Lock E. Houston the Judge thereof being there and there presiding and the same being a court of record and having common law jurisdiction and a seal and clerk; the application of Abe Rubel, Jr. to be admitted a Citizen of the United States of America and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that said Abe Rubel, Jr. came to the United States when he was under the age of twenty one years and that he has resided in the United States more than three years next preceeding his arrival at that age and that he has continued to reside therein to the time of his making this application to be admitted a Citizen thereof, and that he has now arrived at the age of twenty three years, and that he has resided five years within the United States, including three years of his minority and that he has made the declaration or oath required by Section twenty one hundred and sixty five of the revised statutes of the United States, at the time of his making his application for admission to citizenship and that he has also further declared an oath and proven to the satisfaction of the court that for two years next preceeding his application for citizenship it has been his Bonafide intention to become a citizen of the United States as required of section twenty one hundred and sixty seven of the revised statutes of the United States, and it further appearing to the satisfaction of the court that said Abe Rubel, Jr. has never borne any hereditary title or been of any of the orders of Nobility in the Kingdom County or State from which he came and that at the time of making his application to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States he declared an oath in open court, that he would support the constitution of the United States and that he absolutely and entirely renounced and abjured all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince Potentate state or Soverignty and particularly that he absolutely and entirely renounce and abjured all allegiance and fidelity to Prince Luitpold? the ruling soverign of Bavaria, and to Emperor Williams, the Second, of Germany to which rulers he was subject and of which countries he has before been a citizen and a subject and it being further make to appear to the satisfaction of the court that said Abe Rubel, Jr. has resided within the United States for more than five years, and within the state of Mississippi, in which state this court is held for more than one year, the residence of Ruble being established by witnesses produced at the hearing, and that during all that time, said Rubel behaved as a man of a good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to good order and happiness of the same: It is therefore ordered by the Court in open session that said Abe Rubel, be and he is hereby naturalized and admitted a citizen of the United States of America, with all the privileges rights immunities and protection, thereof,

It is further ordered by the court, that the clerk of this court _____ the proceedings in this matter on the minutes of this court as required by the statutes of the United States.

So ordered in open court this 19th day of January A.D. 1892

ROBERT CHEESE

January term 1890, page 389

This day personally appeared in open court Robert Cheese, a native of London England and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the said Robert Cheese has resided within the limits of the United States for the past 10 years and within the State of Mississippi for the past two years, that he has filed his declaration declaring his intention to become a citizen of the United States two years previous to this day, and that he doth renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreing Prince Potentate, State or Sovereign, whatsoever, and more particularly to the reigning or _____ parties of Great Brittian and Ireland.

And it appearing upon the testimony J.M. Martin and F.P. Morrison that the said Robert Cheese is a man of good moral character, attached to the principals of the constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same, wherefore the said Robert Cheese here in court takes the oath of allegiance and the oath to support the constitution of the United States of America and the constitution of the state of Mississippi so long as he should continue a citizen thereof; wherefore he is admitted to all the right and privileges of a citizen of the United States of America.

HENRY HINES

January term 1890, page 389-390

This day personally appeared in open court Henry Hines, a native of London England and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the said Henry Hines has resided within the limits of the United States for the past 10 years and within the State of Mississippi for the past two years, that he has filed his declaration declaring his intention to become a citizen of the United States two years previous to this day, and that he doth renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince Potentate, State or Sovereign, whatsoever, and more particularly to the reigning or governing parties of Great Brittian and Ireland, and it appearing upon the testimony R. Dowd and Geo. Marlow that the said Henry Hines is a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same, wherefore the said Henry Hines here in court takes the oath of allegiance and the oath to support the constitution of the United States of America and the constitution of the state of Mississippi so long as he should continue a citizen thereof; wherefore he is admitted to all the right and privileges of a citizen of the United States of America.
