My g-grandfather came from
VA in the late 1820s probably by the Wilderness Road to Nashville and then
the Natchez Trace to Natchez. In the 1830 MS census of Natchez there
is a George W. REDMAN listed, and I would like to ask if any one is researching
this person.
My George, on October 17,
1830, married in Avolleyes Parish, LA. I believe that my g-grandfather
came from VA to LA via Natchez, but can't make the link for sure.
Can anyone help me with this puzzle?

Our
William NEYLANS (NEYLANDS) died before after Nov 5, 1818 in Lawrence Co,
Miss. His wife's name was Susannah "Susan" ? who was listed
opn the 1818 tax roll for Lawrence Co. They were living in Adams Co in
1810 along with son William Neeland Jr, and possibly son-in-law David BURNEY.
In Jan 1817 William NELAN and wife Susan sold land in Adams Co in Terr.
of Miss. to Benjamin FARRAR and William RATLIFF in township of Sandy Creek.
Does anyone know where Sandy Creek is located in Adams Co - or is it now
in another county? Does anyone know who else in Adams Co was related
to our William NEYLANDS? Does anyone know who moved with William to Adams
Co? We find these same NEYLANDS and BURNEY names in Washington Co,

I am looking for info pertaining
to my g g granduncle, Christian SCHWARTZ. He was a prominent figure in
Adams Co. (Natchez) until his death in 1890. I would like to know if he
is written up in any family histories or Adams Co. history, etc. I would
dearly love to have a photo of him. None of his family is in the "Victorian
Children of Natchez". He and his wife, Susannah MILLER SCHWARTZ never had
children, but they raised my great grandmother, Katie Marie SCHWARTZ and
her brother, John C. SCHWARTZ. They also took in a young girl to raise
as their own named Elizabeth (Lizzie) SAX. I don't know what the circumstances
were concerning that. I think she had some family. I would like to
find some members of connected families and see if they have any info.
Some connected families are: KING, ESSIG, HAHN, FRANK, MILLER. Any help
appreciated.
