I am trying to determine the relationship of my ancestor Jesse KING, b. abt 1778, NJ, with the other KINGs who arrived in Natchez with the Swayzes. Jesse married Sophie(y) James (Jacoby), in Natchez January 18, 1801. I would really like to find out his relationship to Joseph, Charles, John D. Richard, and Prosper KING. He was there with them, but I've found no record on their relationship. Thanks.

Also interested in and info on her mother (my grandmother) Margaret Florence BUDRO or BOUDREAU or similar spelling. She married William Thomas STONE--b. Folkeston, Kent, England, date unknown -- d. 1916 during WWI. Margaret died in Natchez in 1967 while living with her daughter. Obituary or death certificate info would be appreciated. Cora had a daughter (Margaret b. Natchez, Miss) and son (Bobby) for whom I have no other info.

I am looking for information about my gg-grandmother, Martha KEENAN who married John Alfred Mattingly in 1855. She had two children, Mary Helen Mattingly and Ida Mattingly. John Alfred was killed in a saloon in Rodney, MS, in 1857. Martha was pregnant with her second child at the time. She later married a Mr. Trimble and had a son Adrian Trimble ( I know that line). Upon Mr. Trimble's death she moved north (maybe Arkansas) to care for her deceased sister's children. I have information on the Mattingly family from 1664 if anyone is interested.

Bartholomew (JAMES) JACOBY , Revolutionary Soldier, was born 1747 in PA. He married in PA 1770 to Katherine Mayer, b Dec 17, 1749. They had five children (all born in Berks County): John, Nov 1, 1771; Sofia/Sofey, b about 1780 married (1) June 17, 1800 in Natchez, Adams Co. to John McGINTY (2) Jessie KING; Christianna (Anna), Oct 13, 1786; Peter, Sep 23, 1789; and Barbara, birthdate unknown, who Married Simon HOOK in Natchez in 1802.

Bartholomew "JACOBY" changed his name to JAMES after his arrival in Natchez, in 1800. Most of the children would have changed their names to JAMES. Bartholomew & family left Adams Co n 1810.

Absolom Sharp was the business partner of James WALSH, Sr. in Natchez MS in the 1840's & 50's. James & Jane (Crothers) WALSH lived on Union St. in Natchez. Also James, mother-in-law, Elizabeth Crothers, lived nearby. The WALSH family belonged to the Presbyterian Church. Is there anyone who can provide with details of the city and its history which would correspond to the time spent in the area by the WALSH family?

Surname: Waters I am looking for information regarding Stephenson and Amanda WATERS of Natchez, Adams Co. Stephenson emigrated from Ireland to Natchez via New York in the 1830's. Stephenson and Amanda had four children: Samuel, Harriet, Mary and Hadassah between 1840 and 1850. Stephenson was apparently a merchant and for part of his time in Natchez owned a saddlery business with a George Dicks. Stephenson was naturalized in Adams C. probate court in 1838. I am also interested in obtaining any papers which still exist regarding the naturalization.

M. 26 Oct 1800 to Sarah Hayes in Opelousas, St,Landry Parish, LA.; Jacob b. CA 1783. Jacob Winfree was prominent in the British Revolt against Spain in 1781 in the Miss. Territory and West Florida. Capt. WINFREE and other prisoners were sent to the Spanish Prison in New Orleans. In 1804 Jacob Winfree, son and heir of Jacob, Sr.(deceased) filed claim #1915 for 1000 acres of land by virtue of a British Patent granted 7 July 1773 in favor of Jacob WINFREE. I am seeking any further information on Jacob WINFREE's ancestors, and his outcome after his imprisonment by the Spanish.

Looking for information on C. P. OWENS & Mattie Elizabeth YOUNG Owens who lived in Carthage before 1900. At least one of their children, Ida Owens, was born in Carthage in 1884. Their son Robert H. Owens, had 11 children, several of whom became ministers in the Church of God. Any information on this family would be much appreciated.
